Your one stop for business consulting in Utah

Art City Consulting is owned and managed by Tanner Nackos. I've spent the last 14 years running the parts of a business that make everything else work: IT, operations, marketing and analytics. Now I help other businesses with the same problems, from marketing to CRM to AI, and I still do the hands-on building myself.

Tanner Nackos, owner of Art City Consulting

Background

I've worked on the operations side of growing companies for 14 years, including several years as the top executive. I've owned P&Ls, run IT, marketing and operations, and led customer service and call center teams. I've built data and analytics programs and set up the phone systems and dial plans those teams ran on.

Along the way I've started businesses from scratch, handled the unglamorous parts like filings and HR, and led a lot of people through changes in how they work. I've led quality assurance and machine learning projects for a large contact center operation.

The work has gone international, too. I've done business consulting for companies in Italy, Spain and Uruguay. Separately, I've worked in education for international students, including au pair and J-1 exchange visitor programs. Working across countries and cultures has made me better at spotting what's really slowing a team down.

I have a bachelor's in behavioral science (psychology) and an MBA, both from Utah Valley University. The psychology side shows up in everything I build. Marketing, a CRM rollout or an AI tool only works if people actually want to use it.

These days most of my hands-on time goes to CRM development, automation and AI. I write Deluge and JavaScript, build dashboards and reporting, and connect AI tools to live business data through MCP servers.

Why "Art City"?

Springville, Utah has long been known as Utah's Art City, home of the Springville Museum of Art and a community built around craft. The name is a nod to those Utah County roots, and to the idea that good business systems are built with the same care as anything else worth making.

How we work

One go-to person

For most projects that's me. I'm on the calls, I keep the work moving, and I'm who you reach when something needs fixing.

Trusted specialists

When a project needs a developer, designer, or video or ad specialist, I bring in people I trust and manage their work. Or I'll introduce you directly if that fits better.

Problem first

If a spreadsheet and a better process will fix it, you'll hear that before anyone sells you a build. Quotes are in writing and the work comes in small pieces you can see.

Yours to keep

Everything is documented, so you're never stuck depending on one person to explain how your systems work. That includes me.

Tell us what's going on.

A few sentences is plenty. What does the business do, what's getting in the way, and what would you fix first if you could? A real person will write back with questions or a next step, usually within a business day.
